There is no account and no advertising. Progress stays on your device. The app sends a random installation ID, game results, optional online names and reports, and purchase records to the services described below. Game results, reports and purchase records also help us understand how the game is used and fix problems. Shared links can carry a campaign label; the game's server counts tagged link requests by label, route and UTC date for up to 90 days.
What stays on your device
Your streak and today's result
Which day you last played, your streak and your best, today's five guesses, and what you have bought.
The postcards you have opened
The pictures come from the game's own server as you play and stay in the app's cache, so a day you have opened works offline. The request for a picture carries nothing about you: no account, no name, no device id, and the server keeps no record of who fetched what.
What leaves your device
Aggregate requests for tagged game links
Shared links can carry a campaign label, such as app-share. For tagged GET requests to the challenge page (/c) or store redirect (/get), the game's server stores only the label, route, UTC date and request count. These counts store no installation ID, name, IP address, cookie, full URL, referrer header or individual request time. The label also travels to Google Play in the store link's referrer parameter. Repeated requests and link previews can count; an installed app may open a link without reaching the server. Counts do not establish people or installs. Invalid or duplicate labels are ignored. Labels beyond the daily limit are counted together without retaining their values.
How today's daily went, as numbers
When you finish the daily and the device is online, the app sends the day's number, how many years off each of the five guesses was, and the total, and nothing else: no account, no name, no device id, no address is attached or stored. The server keeps only tallies (how many players landed in each band, how hard each postcard proved), which give you the 'better than N% today' line and make the game's difficulty honest.
The random ID used for online play
The app creates a random ID on first launch and keeps it on your device. While the app is open and online, it sends this ID to the game's server to count open apps, deliver challenges and reconnect an online match. It is separate from your Google account and from the ID RevenueCat uses for purchases. During a match, the server uses it alongside your display name and game state. It is not an advertising ID.
The name you play under online
The display name you choose for an online duel is saved on your device and sent to the game's server. It is shown to the players in your match and to other open apps as a challenge while you wait for a match. The server uses it alongside the random installation ID during the match or wait, then discards it. You can play under the default name without typing your own.
A problem you report, or something you ask for
When you send a report from the app, the note you typed, which card it concerns and the app's version go to the game's server and are mailed to the developer. No account, no name and no device id travel with it, unless you write them in the note yourself.
Purchases
The archive and the packs are bought through Google Play. RevenueCat uses a randomly generated app user ID to keep track of purchase history and what that installation owns. The app is told what you own; it never sees a card number.
What is never collected
- No account and no sign-in: there is nothing to register.
- No e-mail address or phone number is requested. The optional online display name is described above.
- No location of any kind.
- No contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera access.
- No advertising SDK, no ad identifier, and no adverts.
- Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers.
Children
These data practices apply to everyone who plays. Online names are visible to other players. Please avoid putting personal details in a display name or problem report.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data from Android's app settings, removes everything held on the device. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling removes the locally stored installation ID and display name. Clearing progress inside the game does not remove them. Purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat remain after uninstalling. To request deletion of the RevenueCat customer record, contact us with the Google Play order number for your purchase. Google Play retains its own records under its terms. To ask about anything else, write to hello@yuv.run.
Changes
If what the app collects changes, this page changes with it: it is generated from the same record the app's store listing declares, so the two cannot drift apart.
